Fixtures for Sears
Inspiring tranquility in bed and bath spaces.
Since 1925, Sears stores have been the place consumers go to find everything they need for their homes—and more. When the company was looking to revamp its bed and bath department to feature more products in the same amount of space, it turned to Harbor Industries (a Sears partner since 1979) to create a consumer experience that would be comfortable, inviting and clutter-free.
We designed a solution that turned the bed and bath department into an in-store, resort-like sanctuary that would inspire shoppers to create their own tranquil spaces at home using Sears products. Our custom fixtures were developed to display a variety of goods in a way that made it easy for shoppers to find what they’re looking for (as well as those little extras they didn’t know they needed!). Because we wanted to create a consistent look throughout the department, we made the fixtures using materials that matched or complemented those already in place in the store. An open design helped lend a light, airy feel to the area and gave shoppers easy access to Sears’ array of bed and bath products.
The company loved our design solution (and how well the products started selling) so much, it rolled it out to more than 800 stores across the country. We call that a resounding, rejuvenating success.
